CANISTEO, NY – From School Superintendent Tom Crook:
RE-OPENING GUIDANCE: area Superintendents and the county health department have been working diligently to get a plan out to our communities. However, the State Education Department put out a notice yesterday that they will be releasing some guidance to schools soon. In addition to this statement, with the resignation of Governor Cuomo and the Lieutenant Governor stepping in, we are unsure if she is going to demand that the state health department issue guidance to schools. With these 2 wrinkles, we are unable to communicate any plan to you at this time.
Please know that our intent is to have students here 5 days a week, in-person with appropriate covid mitigations in place.
