HORNELL, NY – The Brown and Powers Funeral Home reports the death of Earl ”Doc” Coleman, 86, longtime Hornell businessman passed away Monday, at Updykes Willow Ridge Comfort Care following a prolonged illness.
“I personally knew Doc Coleman when I was mayor,” said former Mayor Shawn Hogan. “He was very interested in the community and really loved Hornell, and we were all blessed to have him as a business man in Hornell,” Hogan said.
“He was quite a guy,” said Hornell Industrial Development Agency Director Jim Griffin. “I really enjoyed him, Doc was a great guy.”
