Corning Woman Facing Meth Accusations in Canisteo

CANISTEO, NY – Canisteo Village Police report the arrest of Amanda Matteson, 28, of  Corning.  She has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Material in the 2nd Degree, Possession of Hypodermic Instrument, Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, Falsifying Business Records in the 2nd Degree and Forgery in the 3rd Degree.

Officials say that these charges stemmed off a traffic stop on East Main Street in the Village of Canisteo.  Matteson was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.  Canisteo Police also say that Amanda Matteson forged a name and signature on legal documents at the local pharmacy as well.

She was arraigned in Canisteo Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $5000. bail.
