FROM STEUBEN COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES: 6:45PM – The National Weather Service in Binghamton issued a Flash Flood Warning for Steuben County until 9:45pm tonight. At 6:38pm, Steuben Co Emergency Services reported thunderstorms producing heavy rains and flooding occuring in Canisteo, Cameron and Woodhull. Up to one inch of rain has fallen. Up to two inches are possible. Flash flooding is already occuring. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as poor drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that will expereince flash flooding include: Hornell, Canisteo, Arkport, Woodhull, Addison, Cameron, Bath, Lindley, Wayland, Painted Post, Howard, Hornby, Jasper, Thurston, Corning, South Corning, Cohocton and Savona.
