STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – Former Steuben County Republican Chairman Freeman Smith died recently in Rochester. Freeman Smith was a longtime employee of Corning Glass and a onetime campaign manager for Congressman Amo Houghton. Freeman Smith was 80 years old. From Steuben County GOP Chairman Joe Sempolinski: “I was so saddened to learn of the death of former Steuben County Republican Chairman Freeman Smith. Freeman was a towering figure in Steuben County politics. The thoughts of the entire Republican Committee are with the Smith Family.”
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fagan Funeral Home in Bath.
