Former President Donald Trump Has Been Shot At – Campaign Says He Is “Fine”

July 13, 2024

ABC reports that there were “popping noises, and screams”, and a person was rushed while the president was swarmed by Secret Service.

At this point, it appears former President Donald Trump might have possibly been hit with a bullet in the ear, possibly knicked in the ear.  Either that, or he was injured in some other way, as Trump appeared to have blood coming from his ear.

That was at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

ABC’s Alex Stone says that one, possibly two bystanders, are dead.  Alex Stone also says the shooter is also dead.

ABC’s Aaron Katersky says the Secret Service says, live rounds were possibly fired from outside the security perimeter.   Katersky also says the Secret Service says, this is being investigated as an assassination attempt.

FROM TRUTH SOCIAL:
Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

FROM GOVERNOR KATHY HOCHUL: “Any violence against a fellow American is disgusting and unacceptable. We must express political disagreements peacefully, civilly and respectfully.  I am praying for the safety and health of former President Trump and all who are attending this event in Pennsylvania.”FROM SENATE MAJORITY LEADER CHUCK SCHUMER: “I am horrified by what happened at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania and relieved that former President Trump is safe. Political violence has no place in our country.”

FROM HOUSE DEMOCRAT LEADER HAKEEM JEFFRIES:  My thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump. I am thankful for the decisive law enforcement response. America is a democracy. Political violence of any kind is never acceptable.”
FROM STEUBEN COUNTY DEMOCRAT CHAIR SHAWN HOGAN:  “Any human being who has a conscience or a soul, has to be upset and horrified at what we just saw.  In my lifetime I have witnessed the deaths of JFK, MLK and RFK Sr.  This has to stop.  The culture of hate and violence has to stop.”

FROM RFK JR: “Now is the time for every American who loves our country to step back from the division, renounce all violence, and unite in prayer for President Trump and his family.”

Differences in political views are never justification for violence. Whoever committed this crime should be brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I pray that President Trump is okay and that no other individuals were hurt.”
