Four Covid Related Deaths, In Steuben Co

STEUBEN REPORTS FOUR DEATHS RELATED TO COVID-19

BATH – The Steuben County Public Health Department received notification of the death of four individuals who had previously tested positive for COVID. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Steuben County to 214.

One individual was a female resident from the Town of Bath who died at the age of 75. One was a male resident of the Town of Tuscarora who died at the age of 72. One was a male resident of the City of Hornell who died at the age of 88, and one was a female resident of the Town of Corning who died at the age of 88.

“COVID has tragically taken too many lives of Steuben residents,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith. “We look forward to the day we no longer report any positives or deaths from COVID. Please take every precaution to help make our goal our reality sooner.”

All residents should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell and contact their healthcare provider for instructions if feeling ill.
