Four Suspects Facing Meth Charges From Canisteo Arrest

CANISTEO, NY – From Canisteo Police Chief Kyle Amidon:

On Thursday October 19th, 2017 The Canisteo Village Police Department and the New York State Police Arrested 4 subjects on methamphetamine and drug charges. This ongoing investigation ended off a traffic stop and consent to search the residence of 22 Russell Street Apartment 201 in the Village of Canisteo. In Conclusion New York State Police arrested Michael J. DuBois (Age 29) of 18 North Street in Canisteo for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. DuBois was arraigned and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on no bail. Canisteo Village Police Department arrested Abram D. Carter (Age 50) of 4 North Street in Canisteo for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Carter was arraigned in Bath Town Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $2500.00 cash/$5000.00 property bail. Canisteo Village Police Department arrested Megan E. Harkenrider (Age 35) of 79 Catherine Street in Hornell for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, Possession of Hypodermic Instruments and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Harkenrider was arraigned in Bath Town Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $5000.00 cash/$10000.00 property bail. Canisteo Village Police Department arrested Michael G. Meehan Jr (Age 28) of 6224 Hammer Creek Road in Canisteo for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, Possession of Hypodermic Instruments and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Meehan was arraigned in Bath Town Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $5000.00 cash/$10000.00 property bail. The Investigation was completed by the Canisteo Village Police Department and the New York State Police.
