Gov. Cuomo Pushing For Fast Food Chains To Pay $15.00 an Hour

ALBANY, NY – Governor Andrew Cuomo wants the bigger fast food chains in New York State, to pay their workers $15.00 an hour.

The state wage board is made up of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, as well as the chairman of the online fashion store Gilt, and the Secretary-Treasurer of the Service Employees International Union,

The Wage Board is recommending a pay of $15.00 an hour for these fast food employees.

It has not been passed yet though. supporters say the big companies can afford to pay their workers more, critics say the restaurant chains will just lay workers off, and charge higher prices.
