High Speed Chase In Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, NY – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports that a drunk driver from the Ontario County Town of Victor, took a deputy on a high speed chase from Groveland to Geneseo. At times, going 95 miles an hour. Sheriff Tom Dougherty says that the drunk driver took off in Groveland, slamming the deputy’s arm in the door of the truck that he, the suspect, was driving. Officials were able to catch the suspect in the Geneseo area, and the drunk driver is facing numerous charges.

From the statement given by Sheriff Tom Dougherty:
(Robert) Flynn was charged by Deputies with the following in the Town of Groveland where the initial stop took place: Fail to Keep Right, Harassment, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, Speeding, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree, Open container and Unlawful Fleeing a Police Vehicle.

Flynn was charged by Deputies with the following in the Village of Geneseo where the stop concluded: Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, Speeding, Ignition Interlock Violation and Refusing a Breath Test.

Flynn’s driver’s license was revoked for three prior DWI Convictions and he was operating outside of an ignition interlock device.
