October 19, 2021

HORNELL, NY – At the Monday night Hornell Common Council meeting, it was announced that, thanks to a program that goes back at least two years, the Hornell police dept will soon be getting 21 police body cams. This is being paid for by Corning Incorporated. Mayor John Buckley expressed his great thanks to Corning Inc, saying that he expects New York State government to mandate bodycams soon, and Buckley says, this donation comes just in time.

In other news, Hornell Police Chief Ted Murray and Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard say that they are seeing an increase in cases of fentanyl laced-marijuana. Allard and Murray were present last night to discuss the ups and downs, of the Opt-Out Law.
