October 18, 2021

Citizens of the City of Hornell,

The Steuben County Chiefs of Police Association is honored to endorse Mayor John Buckley in his re-election campaign for Mayor of the City of Hornell. The Steuben County Chiefs of Police Association membership consists of representatives of the nine Steuben County police departments including Chief Ted Murray, CCC Public Safety, Caton Constabulary, Steuben County District Attorney’s Office, Office of Emergency Management and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office. The Association unanimously endorses Mayor Buckley, citing his strong stand for safe communities and his continued support of the Hornell City Police Department. Mayor Buckley has advocated for recovery from addiction and been a major partner in the enforcement and treatment of those still in addiction and committing crimes. Mayor Buckley, simply stated, stands for a safe and prosperous Hornell, and the Steuben County Chiefs of Police Association stand with Mayor Buckley.

Sincerely,
The Steuben County Chiefs of Police Association

“I am very honored to receive this endorsement from the Steuben County Chiefs of Police Association. I’ve always been and continue to be a strong supporter of law enforcement. Police work is more difficult and dangerous than ever before. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated professionals serving and protecting us around the County including right here in Hornell. As mayor, I have worked tirelessly with HPD, the Sheriff’s Department, State Police and District Attorney’s office on numerous public safety issues and I look forward to continuing this great partnership in the years to come.”
