HORNELL, NY – Captain Mike Sexsmith and Hornell Police Officers Ian Hamilton, Trevor Stiles and JR Emo, all were given Hornell’s Life Saving Award this morning at the city hall’s Public Safety meeting. Police Chief Ted Murray says the four members of the Hornell Police Department saved a woman who was being held hostage at knifepoint on March 15.
Also, it was noted that Officer Trevor Stiles, while off duty, witnessed a multi-vehicle accident in Auburn, this was an accident involving three cars and a tractor trailer. Stiles was quick to react and provide and provide aid at the scene.
