Hornell Woman Allegedly Stole A Car

HORNELL, NY – Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on February 14, 2022, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeanita R. Stevens, age 31, of West VanScoter Street, Hornell, New York, following an investigation of a reported stolen vehicle. It is alleged that Ms Stevens, in December, 2021, stole, used and damaged a vehicle from South Hamilton Street, Erwin, New York. It is further alleged that Ms. Stevens violated a term or condition of her NYS Parole. Ms. Stevens was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, a class D Felony, and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D Felony. Ms. Stevens was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail due to the Parole violation.
