Hornell Woman Announces She Is Running For Hornell Common Council

HORNELL N.Y.- Jessica Cleveland of 99 Catherine Street, formally announced her candidacy for sixth ward seat on the Hornell Common Council.

Jessica is a Republican who says she  has lived in the 6th ward since 1987 and works at McAuley Manor as a social worker.

Jessica noted that her ultimate goal is to be a representative and advocate for the 6th ward.

Cleveland also talked about her relationship with the Concern for Youth which is located in the 6th ward, and her good relationship with them since doing an internship with them. She also noted that the roads in the ward need repair and she would like to see better attention to them. Jessica also spoke on taxes saying that she appreciated the fact that taxes in the city are fairly low and would like to advocate for keeping them that way.

Cleveland stressed that she would be easily accessible and wanted to be thought of as an advocate for residents of the sixth ward.

She is running for the seat the Alderman Dan McManus (R) is not seeking again, McManus noted that due to getting a promotion at his job, he is not seeking re-election.
