The City of Hornell Department of Public Works begins its regular schedule of street sweeping on SUNDAY NIGHT, MAY 1, 2016.
No parking will be permitted on city streets from midnight-6 a.m. in wards scheduled for trash pickup the following day. For instance, people whose garbage is picked up on Mondays cannot park on the streets overnight Sundays; those with Tuesday pickup cannot park overnight on Mondays, etc.
These parking restrictions are in effect regardless of refuse pickup, holidays, or modifications to the street-sweeping routine. They will continue through early fall.
Cars in violation of the parking prohibition will be ticketed by the Hornell Police Department.
