Hornellsville Board Member Quotes Everpower As Saying Hartsville Is “Complicating Things”

June 9, 2015

ARKPORT, NY – At the Tuesday Hornellsville Town Board  meeting, there were updates on the flood plain and wind farms. Concerning the flood plain, officials say that the insurance company has not compiled all the information needed to make decisions and hopefully that will be completed by the end of July.

Hornellsville Town Board members Dan Broughton and Bob Mauro spoke of how they attended an informational meeting on the Everwind wind power project.  According to Broughton, it was explained to them by Everpower that the process is “going very slow because Hartsville is complicating things”.

On May 27, it appeared that Hornellsville was going to move ahead without Hartsville, but it appears that from what Broughton said, that Everpower may possibly still be interested in including Hartsville.  See May 27th story by clicking here.

It was announced that town justice Howard Plank is not running for another term. The seat will be open to the public for election.

There will be a public hearing at the Hornellsville town hall in Arkport June 29, 2015 at 7pm concerning the annexation of nine parcels of land to the town of Hornellsville.

The Hornellsville Town Board heard a presentation from Joe Day about converting a dirt driveway at the Country Crossing area, into a paved road which then would then be taken over by the town and maintained.
