HORNELLSVILLE, NY – Hornellsville Town Supervisor Ken Isaman says the Bergman Engineering Group, an organization that does surveying, will be surveying the flood areas around the old K-Mart Plaza in Hornellsville, should begin by end of this month.
Isaman says the reason this surveying is happening is because the cost of flood insurance has been too high, in one recent case, $42,000 a year was the quote for flood insurance, which officials believe is too much money for that area which is rarely severely flooded.
