Joe Sempolinski Goes On Newsmaker, Talking About A Possible Run For Congress

April 5, 2021

STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – County GOP Chairman Joe Sempolinski, appearing on this morning’s Newsmaker Show, spoke of why he is considering a run for the Tom Reed seat in the House of Representatives. “This is my home. I was born in Elmira, at the Arnot, I grew up in the Painted Post area, I live in Canisteo, this is not something where I just moved here for a job, this is where I was born, this is where I’m going to raise my family, I’ve got two young daughters and I’m worried about their future,” Sempolinski told Wlea.

“I was out talking to all of the various constituencies in this district, I know this district from stem to stern, from top to bottom, like no one else, like other potential candidate can claim. So there is not only (my concern for) the national direction of the country, but I think I have a unique ability to be an effective congressman for the constituent and community needs, for this particular district.”
