Canisteo Town Supervisor Joe Harrington says, there were more people at the Canisteo Town meeting the other night, than he’s ever seen before. According to the supervisor, a total of 30 residents showed up. We asked Harrington why that happened and he said he thinks, it was because the town has hired a new dog control officer. The new Canisteo Town Dog Control Officer’s name: Darren McCormick.
in other news, Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose has announced that County Route 68, Crosby Creek Road, in the Town of Hornellsville will be closed to all traffic from Valley View Road to Crites Road beginning Monday, August 4 through Wednesday, August 6. This is happening so crews can do the replacement of a cross-road drainage pipe. There will be no on-site detour during this project.
