HORNELL, NY – Lunch prices will be going up by five cents in the school cafeteria’s in the Hornell School District.
Elementary school from $1.80 to $1.85
Junior/Senior High School from $2.05 to $2.10
Hornell School Finance Officer Pat Flaitz says that Hornell is currently charging lower than what the federal subsidy is, for the free and reduced students. “The federal government does require us to increase our price, so we’re increasing by a nickel for next year, to start to catch up to that,” Flaitz told WLEA News.
