December 30 2015

ALBANY, NY – Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed a law that makes it so school coaches will be required to report suspected child abuse to authorities. The law will also require coaches to complete two hours of training about reporting of child abuse and maltreatment.

The governor also says that coaches will be protected from lawsuits by the person who was accused, if the coaches suspicions about child abuse are proven untrue.
