No Unnecessary Travel Warning In Livingston County

February 16, 2016

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, NY – Sheriff Tom Dougherty has issued a No Unnecessary Travel warning for Livingston County roadways until further notice. The sheriff says that the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has received and handled numerous vehicles off the roadway and motor vehicle crashes due to the snow covered roads.

Sheriff Dougherty says that the no Unnecessary Travel means that hazardous driving conditions exist and no unnecessary travel is recommended. He added that this restriction is not mandatory and is left to the traveling public to decide their comfort zone on the roadways, however, if it is essential to travel, do so with caution in considering the changing weather conditions.
