November 16, 2021 – Covid Case Update

November 16, 2021

From Steuben Co Public Health:

There have been 273 new COVID cases since Wednesday’s update. 61% are not vaccinated. Vaccination and booster shots are the best protection against serious illness and death related to COVID.
Multiple of this group’s positives are associated with: Corning Inc. Sullivan Park (3), Upstate Farms (6), Wayland-Cohocton Elementary (4), Avoca (7), Hornell Jr/Sr High (3), Corning-Painted Post High (6), Wayland-Cohocton Middle (3), Arkport (3), Haverling High (3), and Hornell Intermediate (7).

Household spread, social gatherings, and travel are also large contributors to COVID exposure and spread right now.
Steuben County continues to hold our weekly COVID vaccine clinic on Fridays from 10 am – 2 pm at the Civil Defense Training Center. Individuals age 12 and older can attend. Register at www.steubencony.org/covid. No clinic will be held on November 26.
