From Noyes Memorial:
Due to an increase in COVID-positive cases in the region, UR Medicine | Noyes Health will implement a revised visitor restriction policy beginning Wednesday, October 21, until further notice at Noyes Memorial Hospital and After Hours in Dansville, Noyes Kidney Disease and Dialysis Center in Geneseo, Noyes Mental Health and Wellness, and Noyes Health Services in Geneseo including Urgent Care, Ambulatory Surgery Center and Radiology.
No visitors will be allowed with the following exceptions:
Maternity patients will be allowed 1 adult visitor/partner in the room through labor and delivery. The visitor/partner will remain in the room throughout the duration of the patient’s stay.
Pediatric patients will be allowed 1 parent/ guardian in the room.
Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis, for patients with extreme behavioral and/or diminished mental capacity issues, or for those nearing end-of-life.
“This isn’t something we want to do; it’s something we have to do,” says Tamara West, RN, MS, MHA, Noyes Health Vice President Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer. “We must do everything we can to keep our patients and staff safe.”
“All of us at Noyes Health encourage our community partners to wear masks, maintain physical distancing from others and wash hands to try to keep COVID in check, as well as to get a flu shot,” says West, “Our sincere hope is that the numbers will recede soon and we again can allow visitors to return to the hospital.”
