STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – Likely due to Saturday evening’s heavy winds, there were power outages throughout the area. On Saturday at about 8pm, power went out locally for a couple of thousand area customers, many of them in Canisteo (we were told by NYSEG and Steuben Rural, that the numbers were around 2,000). As of this posting, 8am on Sunday morning, there are still about two dozen customers in Greenwood who are still without power.
