Reed Speaks Out Against Anti-Police Sentiment

July 11, 2017

Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) holds a weekly press telephone conference call, and during the press call this morning, Wlea Radio asked Reed what he thought of the controversy that is going on in New York City, between Mayor Bill DeBlasio and the New York City Police Department. Deblasio has been heavily criticized by his GOP opponent, Nichole Malliotakis, because Deblasio went to the G20 Summit, instead of staying for the NYPD graduation last week. The NYPD graduation ceremony was held on Thursday, July 6, just one day after New York City Police Officer Miosotis Familia was shot and killed in her patrol vehicle. When asked about that, Reed said that he did not want to get into the NYC mayoral scene, but the Corning Republican did come out strongly against anti-police sentiment.
