HORNELL, NY – From Alderman Rich Argentieri, (D, 4th Ward, Hornell)
I am very grateful to the community for providing me with the privilege of serving them on the City Council over the last 4 years.
During this time, I worked extremely hard for the city and the 4th ward, always responding to residents in an expeditious manner. I found my passion in diligently working on important issues that we face as residents and I enjoyed helping move our neighborhoods forward in meaningful ways.
I’m not a career politician and we should not be a city of Democrats and Republicans. We’re a city of mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters who are concerned with the future of our community. As a father and husband, I came on the scene with a grassroots approach only wanting to help my neighbors regardless of political affiliation.
When I joined the City Council, I hoped that we could work as a team to improve our city. Many of our residents are disillusioned on important issues that concern us all, like dilapidated properties, run down neighborhoods and higher taxes with decreased services.
I believe, if we put politics aside, that there’s always a better way to move a community forward and to address the important concerns we all share. I look forward to having real conversations with all of you about ideas and plans for our city. At the end of the day this is only about community.
Richard Argentieri
