ARKPORT, NY – Arkport Central School Superintendent Glenn Niles spoke at last night’s school board meeting, about the merger committee.  According to Niles, the commitee is leaning towards the possibility of each of the three schools (Arkport, Alfred-Almond, Canaseraga) having their own elementary school, though there are not any decisions yet on whether to make it K-5 or K-6.

Niles also says the committee is now considering the idea of having Arkport Central be the junior high location, and Alfred-Almond as the high school location.  All of this would have to be put up for a series of votes, before any final decision is made.
