Slight Delays in New Nissan Dealership – Hospital

July 11, 2017

ARKPORT, NY – Hornellsville’s town board heard an update from planning board head Joe Dick Tuesday night and it looks like a slight delays in the new Nissan dealership and Hospital.

According to Dick, the new Simmons Rockwell Nissan dealership that was scheduled for groundbreaking June 1st and completed by December 1st has now been pushed back to possibly September 1st with completion date sometime in late March or April.

The holdup on the new structure, to be located directly across the street from their current dealership on route 66, is a change in blueprints for the interior design and a permit from the DEC.

Apparently there is a trout stream adjacent to the intended location which needs more research before breaking ground and Simmons Rockwell has changed their minds about the layout of the interior of the building. The square footage and outside design will remain the same.

Also the planning board is still waiting for property owners of the new medical center/hospital to come and discuss the sub division of their property and also they are waiting on word from the zoning board on variances on parking. Dick has scheduled a meeting for next week and he hopes they can get the sub divisions done.
