Steuben Co Is Relocating Their Clinics, From Hornell To Bath

July 21, 2021

BATH, NY – The Steuben County Public Health Department is relocating their weekly COVID vaccine clinics from the Hornell Community Arts Center and the Civil Defense Training Center to the Public Health office at the Steuben County Office Building in Bath starting next Friday, July 30th. COVID vaccines will be offered at the office location on Fridays from 10 AM to 2 PM, with clinics currently scheduled for July 30, August 6 and August 13. Additional office clinics will be scheduled as interest warrants.

Participants will have their choice of receiving any of the authorized vaccines. Currently, Pfizer is available for anyone age 12 and older and requires a parent or guardian to accompany children under the age of 18. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are available for anyone age 18 and older.

“Now is a great time to be vaccinated,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith. “With the new school year around the corner and the delta variant spreading, vaccines are the best protection against serious illness and death related to COVID. We strongly recommend anyone who is able to be vaccinated does so as soon as possible to protect themselves and their loved ones.”

Anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in New York can attend the clinics to be vaccinated. Participants can register for their appointment on Public Health’s website at www.steubencony.org/covid or call the office at 607-664-2438. All vaccines are completely free to participants, and free transportation to clinics is also available through 211.

All clinic attendees must wear appropriate face coverings and will be expected to wait 15-30 minutes after vaccination for observation. Attendees should wear short sleeves or appropriate clothing for vaccination.

Those currently under isolation or quarantine at the time of the clinic due to a positive COVID-19 test result or as a contact to a positive are not eligible to attend the clinic.
