BATH, NY – Steuben County Public Health has approved a policy that all schools in the county can adopt, if they vote to (the county expects most schools will use this policy going forward).
The new policy is, that asymptomatic students and non-vaccinated staff that are quarantined as a result of contact with a positive individual will be allowed to attend school as long as they test negative each day for seven days following exposure. Also, fully vaccinated asymptomatic individuals do not get quarantined. However, these procedures do not apply to individuals that have tests positive for COVID.
