BATH, NY – Steuben County legislators met today and approved funds from a grant totaling $48,295.00 to pay for the hiring of two part time, welfare fraud investigators.
County Social Services Commissioner Kathryn A. Muller, noted that the county receives around 2000 complaints a year, and the additional staff will help investigate those claims.
Muller added that the District Attorney will be hiring the investigators on a contractual, year to year basis
