The Local Cops That Won’t Touch Street Drugs Without Gloves, And Why

March 27, 2023

STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – How dangerous are today’s street drugs? So dangerous that the following law enforcement agencies won’t touch them without gloves and they send the drugs off to the state police lab for testing, out of fear of even touching some drugs: Hornell Police, Canisteo Police, and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.

Canisteo Police Chief Kyle Amidon, Hornell Police Chief Ted Murray, and Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard all say, they won’t let officers touch today’s street drugs, without gloves.

This follows recent news that Senator Chuck Schumer says, because of Xylazine.
