Travel Advisory In Steuben County

March 13, 2017

STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – Steuben County officials announced this afternoon, that while there is not a travel ban, there is a travel advisory. “If you must travel during the storm we urge motorists to use caution, slow down, and leave plenty of room between vehicles,” said Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard. “Give the plow operators plenty of room and remember to move over for emergency vehicles.”

Residents are encouraged to prepare. “Now is the time to prepare,” said Steuben County Manager Jack Wheeler. “Make sure your snow removal equipment is fueled and ready to go. Make sure you have enough supplies on hand so you don’t have to venture out during the storm.”

For travel conditions, area residents are asked not to call 9-1-1, please call 5-1-1 or visit 511ny.org
