Trudy Ann Snyder, of Swain, formerly of Hornell

SWAIN/HORNELL-Trudy Ann Snyder, 67, of County Route 24 in Swain, formerly of Hornell, passed away, in the presence of her loving family, Sunday afternoon (February 26, 2017) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after an unexpected illness.

Born in Waverly on May 29, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Minzie (Stage) Groves. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Nancy Fisk and Sandy Rinaldi.

A former resident of Hornell, Trudy has resided in Swain for the past three years.
For about 10 years she was employed as a supervisor of the delicatessen at the Shurfine Store in Nunda.

She dearly loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Her loving family includes her five children, Angelia “Angie” (Lowell “Bub”) Jeffords of Swain, Yvonne Perkins of Oregon, Carter “Bub” (Julie) Snyder of Burns, Robert “Rob” (Mary) Snyder of Swain, Frederick “Rick” (Talisa) Snyder of Burns; her 23 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren (and two more to be born soon); her eight siblings, Betty Stiles of Hornell, Rosemary Hadsell of Hornell, Steve (Susie) Gross of Hornell, Rick (Susie) Groves of Canisteo, John (Cathy) Groves of Almond, Candy Mead (Bud) of Hornell, David (Anna) Groves of Hornell and Dick (Lori) Fisk of Hornell; also her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Trudy Ann Snyder.

There will be an hour of calling from 2-3 p.m. Friday (March 3, 2017) at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell where a Time of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Friday.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to their favorite charity.
