Allegany County Man Faces Weapons Charge
December 1, 2013
State Police are reporting that on Friday, a trooper arrested Brian Warner, 47, of Friendship, for Driving While Intoxicated and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
According to State Police, a state trooper was patrolling I-86 in a New York State Police CITE Vehicle when he observed Warner operating his vehicle without wearing a seat belt. Subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop Warner was found to be intoxicated and arrested for DWI.
Troopers say that during an interview of Warner, a .243 Savage Rifle was observed in his vehicle, and that a check of Warner’s criminal history revealed he was a convicted felon and as a result unable to possess a firearm, so State Police have charged Warner with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree.
