HORNELL, NY – Wlea News got a Facebook question from a listener this morning, “What is going on at the former Medical Office Building on Elm Street?” The listener said, no one on Facebook postings seemed to know. However, an answer came later in the morning, from Hornell Mayor John Buckley on the Newsmaker Show. “So that building over on the corner of Elm and Center Street,” Buckley told Brian O’Neil. “It’s being redeveloped. It’s all private. It’s owned by an individual who bought the building is transforming it into living units. You can drive over there, looks like they’re working over there, you can see the construction equipment, looks like they’ve been gutting the place out, and I’m happy to see some activity over there. It’s a nice project for that building. It’s a nice building right in the middle of downtown,” Buckley said.
