BATH, NY – Steuben County Manager Mark Alger says that storing voting machines and county records in the former county nursing home, is causing officials to make too many trips.
According to county spokesperson Mary Perham, Steuben County now stores documents and machines, at the original nursing home. “Typically, we make two trips out there a day,” Alger said. “And more if we have to.”
The Steuben County Agriculture, Industry and Planning Committee agreed to consider hiring a consultant to present options and costs of relocating the items which are currently in storage at the former nursing home.
