Bath Man Dies From Accident Involving Electrical Wires

URBANA, NY – State Police are reporting that Richard Rowland, 44, of the Town of Bath, died of a heart attack, after a trucking accident in the Town of Urbana.  According to State Police, Rowland, a t Town of Urbana Highway employee, had just finished dumping a truck’s contents on Reservoir Hill Road.  While driving out of the lot, electrical wires became tangled in the truck box.  Officials say that Rowland was attempting to dislodge the truck, when he suffered an electrical shock.

Rowland was pronounced dead at Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath.  An autopsy will be performed by the Monroe County Medical Examiners Office.
