HORNELL, NY – After negotiations the city of Hornell has reached an agreement with a group of residents on Seneca Street labeled Seneca Street Associates on property assessments dating back to 2013.
The assessments for the nine parcels of land owned by Seneca Street Associates will be almost cut in half from an aggregate of $1,000,300 to $600,000. Once the new assessments are entered, the city will issue revised city/county tax bills.
Seneca Street Associates has agreed to waive all tax refunds from the city for tax years 2013-2016 as a part of the agreement.
