Dansville Woman Is Facing Federal Charges, For Alleged January 6th Involvement

March 25, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Attorneys Office has indicted a Dansville woman, on six counts, for allegedly entering the Capitol Building in Washington DC on January 6th.

The indictment says that Katharine Morrison “attempted to, and did, corruptly obstruct, influence, and impede an official proceeding, that is, a proceeding before congress, specifically, Congress’s  certification of the electoral college vote.”  It also says that Katherine Morrison, “did knowingly enter and remain in a restricted building and grounds, that is, any posted, cordoned off, and otherwise restricted area within the United States Capitol, and it’s grounds, where the Vice President was temporarily visiting, without any lawful authority to do so.”

A google search on Katharine Morrison shows, besides the news reports on her, that Morrison is a Dansville farmer who takes part in farmers markets.
