HORNELL, NY – A study done by a financial technology company called Smart Asset, ranks Hornell, NY, as the 3rd most affordable place to live in New York State. Places in the study are ranked on an Affordability Index weighing property taxes, homeowners’ insurance fees, and mortgage payments against local median income.
Hornell comes in 3rd place, after Southport (2nd place) and West Elmira, which was in 1st place.
