Pick Up Truck Crashes Into Almond Home

The American Red Cross is helping a family of four after a pick-up truck crashed through their home on State Route 21 in Almond Sunday morning. According to reports, one child inside the home sustained minor injuries and the driver attempted to flee the scene. The situation rapidly intensified (Almond). Additional help was quickly dispatched (Almond2). Photos of the home showed a gaping hole in the home and the black-colored truck showed extensive damage. The Red Cross is assisting two adults and two children. Charges against the driver could be pending. Alfred and Alfred Station fire and ambulance assisted and Arkport provided standby coverage. An Allegany County Fire Investigation Team responded to the scene.
