Sadie M. Randall, of Canisteo

CANISTEO-Sadie M. Randall, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday (Aug. 16, 2014) at her home on State Route 248.

Born in Hamlin on Sept. 22, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ethel Lockwood Beman. She was married to George G. Randall, who predeceased her in 1976. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Sadie “Sally” Randall; her son, George “Spud” Randall, Jr.; her three grandchildren; her three sisters, Louise Fitzsimmons, Mildred Barnes and Elsie Teed; also her two brothers, Fred Beman and Charles Beman.

A resident of the Hornell-Canisteo area since 1949, Sadie was a former member of the Bennetts Creek Bible Church.

Her loving family includes her 10 children, Bert “Jim” (Carol) Randall of Arkport, Steve (Alethea) Randall of Ovid, Mary (Mark) Davidson of Hornell, Walter (Robin) Randall of Hornell, Paul Randall of Hornell, Jack Randall of Scio, Roy Randall (Noreen Valez) of Hornell, April (Roger) Brown of Hallstead, Pa., Laurel Randall (Sandy Brethorst) of Rio, Wisc. and Kevin (Christina) Forshee of Eldersburg, Md. ; her 24 grandchildren, 40 plus great-grandchildren and eight plus great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Winola Doster of Ganesvoort; her two brothers, John (Joanne) Beman of Zephyrhills, Fla. and George Beman of Buffalo; also her many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a “Bon Voyage Celebration” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. PLEASE WEAR CAUSAL CLOTHING. Private interment will be in the Howard Cemetery.
