Wednesday, May 7 Update On Allegany Co Storm Damage

May 7, 2025

In Allegany County, officials say that River Street in Canaseraga is still flooded but not as badly as it was on Tuesday, from the Monday night flooding.  From the Canaseraga Village Clerk’s Office:  “The village roads are clear but we are still working with the fire department to get some residents’ yards drained. The town roads such as North Hill Rd. and Freiner Hill Rd., in addition to a few others need pipes replaced and repaired which we will be working on in the coming weeks.”

Also, we’re told that it’s more the yards which are flooded, than it is the streets.  We’re also hearing that no incidents were reported from other areas in Allegany County from the Tuesday night rain.
